Once A Year

January 1 odometer readingTotal annual miles let us split business use from personal.
Vehicle costs, if you want the actual expense methodFuel, insurance, repairs, and lease or loan interest.

What Does Not Count

CommutingHome to your regular workplace is personal, every time.
Personal detoursOnly the business leg of a mixed trip counts.

The IRS standard mileage rate changes each year. Check the current rate at IRS.gov or ask Alder & Finch before you file.
